JYLA Fellows serve as partners at the forefront of making food justice a reality in LA.

Over its more than 30 years of history, JYLA has built strong connections with community-minded and public-spirited nonprofits.

Jubilee Year Fellows spend their year collaborating with our mission-driven partner agencies, helping to expand their capacity for changemaking. More than just an internship, fellows become integral team members, empowered with leadership opportunities. They gain valuable hands-on experience, learning from the passion and expertise of their service site while also contributing their own skills to support and enhance the work of our site partners.

Our mission is to push the limits of what’s possible in nurturing people and empowering communities to heal, grow, and thrive. We begin by ensuring that the most vulnerable members of our society have consistent access to nourishing food, which is essential for their health and well-being.

Fellows roll up their sleeves and dive into service, gaining practical, real-world experience. By the end of their year of service, they’ve developed professional skills that will support them in future endeavors, no matter the next step they choose.

JYLA is dedicated to selecting motivated, compassionate, and intelligent individuals to serve alongside our trusted partners. With supervision and clear purpose, Jubilee Year Fellows have the opportunity to become invaluable assets in the effort to support those in need, and be agents of transformation in Los Angeles.
